After years and years of discussions between China and the US, the construction of a high-speed railway linking Las Vegas and Los Angeles has finally been agreed. The high-speed railway will be the first ever Chinese-made bullet-train venture in the U.S.

China underscored that the project is a move to market its high-speed railway technology to some of the most advanced economies.

According to the authorities, the 230-mile railway line will be built with a systematic cooperation between China and the US. It is also expected that the newest project will create new jobs and opportunities within the region.

Furthermore, the project will improve the highway safety and is also projected to cut back air pollution, traffic and fuel consumption. The future venture is anticipated to convey passengers between Las Vegas and Victorville only within 80 minutes, normally a 4hour drive via a private vehicle. The fare is set at $89.

Authorities aver confidence towards the 280-mile project railway beginning its construction on September 2016.
