X2 Elite member, AeroTrans Air has successfully completed a significant shipment of 7 commercial aircraft engines from India to Dallas, USA, marking a major milestone in international logistics. The total weight of the shipment reached 39 tons, with each engine playing a crucial role in this successful transport.
The shipment, which took place in January 2025, faced some logistical hurdles. While Aerotrans had originally scheduled the delivery of 7 engines, space constraints at Cathay Pacific’s hub in Hyderabad only allowed room for 3 engines. As a result, the company had to organize the movement of the remaining 4 engines from Hyderabad to Mumbai via Air Suspension Truck.
Despite challenges with carrier space availability and the approval process at Cathay Pacific, Aerotrans navigated the issues with precision, submitting all necessary documentation in a timely manner. This led to the successful approval of the shipment and ensured smooth transport.
The cargo was transported over a 5-day transit time, and the clearance process proceeded without any complications.
Details of the Shipment:
- Commodity Model: LEAP-1B
- Engine Serial No.: 602130
- Dimensions: 476 x 250 x 251 cms
- Gross Weight: 5859 kg
- Chargeable Weight: 5859 kg
- DG Code: 3528
Aerotrans Air's successful navigation of this complex shipment reinforces its capabilities in managing high-value, high-weight cargo logistics across global destinations.
