The project was initially awarded to Afnet Air (Pty) Ltd and involved the charter of three aircraft to move a substantial volume of cargo on tight deadlines.

Original Charter Project Overview:

2 x 84-ton charter flights

1 x 40-ton charter flight

Total cargo: 210 pallets / 208,000 kg

While the project was initially structured around dedicated air charters, our member recognized an opportunity to achieve the same delivery efficiency at a fraction of the cost without compromising speed or reliability.

Innovative Cost-Saving Solution

Demonstrating strategic thinking and operational excellence, the team proposed an Express Road Freight Solution from their warehouse in Johannesburg, South Africa, effectively avoiding the need for costly air charters.

Through their extensive African road freight network, they managed to save the client up to 70% of the projected charter costs while ensuring the cargo reached its destination on time.

Route: Durban → Johannesburg (for transshipment) → Tanzania
