Southern France to China – Another successful mission completed by our X2 Elite member, Mathez Freight Aviation team! This time, it was the emergency overseas transfer of a LEAP-1A engine (A320-Neo), weighing in at over 5 tons, safely and securely delivered to China within 48 hours.

The operation began with a pre-dawn pick-up from a leading MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility in Southern France, where the engine was carefully lashed and loaded onto an air cushions-equipped truck, ensuring smooth and secure transport. The team’s meticulous attention to detail and professional handling were evident throughout, as the engine was carefully monitored during its journey.

The transfer process was as follows:

Pick-up: Early morning departure from Southern France, ensuring a smooth start to the day.

Transport: Dedicated, controlled conditions with a specialized air cushions truck for safe delivery.

Delivery: Door-to-airport service within 48 hours, followed by direct flight via CDG (Paris Charles de Gaulle) to China, with on-site supervision to ensure everything went as planned.
